John Galsworthy. He was born on August 14, 1867 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England and he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932. One More River was part of the Forsyte Chronicles and was also the third book of End of the Chapter. The first book of End of the Chapter was entitled Maid in Waiting which was published in 1931, the second book was Flowering Wilderness which was published in 1932, and then One More River was published in 1933.
One More River was adapted into a 1934 film directed by James Whale and starred Diana Wynyard as Clare Corven, Colin Clive as Gerald Corven and Frank Lawton as Tony Croom, to name a few.
