The classic book entitled Little Women is all about four sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March. It is a novel written by Louisa May Alcott and was published in 1868. Louisa May Alcott wrote the book in just several months because her publisher requested her to do so and it follows the story of these four sisters and their transformation from childhood to womanhood.

Little Women is a classic and it was well received when it was first published. The novel has been adapted into two silent films and four motion picture film with sound in 1933, 1949, 1978 and 1994. Aside from the four sisters, some of the characters in the novel are: Professor Friedrich Bhaer, John Brooke, and Uncle and Aunt Carrol.
