The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel arch that is able to carry vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians in Sydney, Australia. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is composed of the largest of every type of material – its latticework of girders, the stone block used in each of the four towers, the metal plates and the six-million rivets – all the largest size that is made for each of the materials.
With the bridge measuring 3,770 feet long and 440 feet tall, it is assumed that there would be hundreds or thousands of bolts but there are only 8 bolts total in the entire bridge.
