Jean-Antoine Watteau, known as Antoine Watteau, was a French painter who had a short-lived career as an artist, but brought the return of interest in color and movement to artists. Watteau brought back the Baroque style that was seemingly on its way out of style, but shifted it to the more natural, less formal classical, Rococo. Rococo, also known as “Late Baroque” was a style of art used from early to late 18th century, thanks to Antoine Watteau.
This style of art was used in almost all forms of art such as decoration, architecture, sculpture, music, painting, interior design, and even theater.
