During puberty, boys experience a lot of growing. Literally everything gets bigger. Boys will get much taller as they go through puberty. Often, this means that they need new clothes every three or four months - a strain on the budget, for sure. Their voice will get deeper during this time, too. Often, a boy’s voice will crack when they speak during this time period.
This isn’t something to be embarrassed about; it’s natural and happens as the body gets used to having a deeper voice. These aren’t the only changes a boy will go through during puberty, however. Some boys will get much taller than they were before; others, not so much. It all depends on the environment they grow up in, as well as what their parents passed on.
