Apes and monkeys are quite similar to humans. The hands of an ape and that of a human have several similar characteristics. For example, they both have a thumb and four fingers to wrap around something. Many other animals do not have these type of hands. Both humans and apes are warm-blooded and produce live young. They also nurse their young. DNA is similar too.
It is believed that humans and apes share well above average the same DNA. Although, chimpanzees have a couple more chromosomes than humans. Both apes and humans are social and stick together. The mothers will hold their babies, just like humans do. Also, chimpanzees were taught more about language and communication than most other animals.
