The correct answer is Determine the level of consciousness. It might be tempting for some to just run to the corridors and shout for help to the doctors and nurses but for medical workers, they are trained to stay calm and have a better view of an incident.

In this way, when the patient is conscious, the nurse will not further stress him or her but assures the patient despite the fall. If the nurse determines the patient unconscious on the floor, he or she must do the right protocol in such situations. Staying calm under pressure makes a person decide better and help others to cope up with stress.

Assessing the level of consciousness should be the first action when dealing with clients that might have fell over.
