The Triceratops was a pretty intimidating looking dinosaur. It ranged from 25 to 30 feet long, nearly 10 feet tall and could be up to 26,000 pounds. The Triceratops also had those menacing looking horns protruding from its large head. However, the Triceratops wasn’t running around eating other dinosaurs and keeping the scent of rotting flesh on its breath like the Tyrannosaurus Rex was.

The Triceratops was an herbivore. Their primary food is thought to have been low growth plants dictated by their shorter necks and lower heads although they may have been able to knock down taller plants with their strong heads and large horns. The Triceratops has been discovered to have had up to 800 teeth in their mouths built for shearing fibrous plant material.
