Recycling is the conversion of waste into new materials and objects. This conversion dates back to the creation of human history, with records of Plato advocating for it in the fourth century BC. There are many energy savings with recycling.

Aluminum provides a 95% energy saving, cardboard 24%, and paper offers 40%. With growing needs to save the planet. There are many ways recycling is done, which include curbside collection, collection boxes outside stores, and buy back centers, which give money in exchange for objects such as old phones or electric batteries.
