In the Middle East, there are many countries that are large in size of their area. These include Israel and Syria. However, Syria is the largest. Syria has over 70,000 square miles in area with about 17 million people in its population. Its capital is Damascus. Jordan is a country that has about half of Syria’s area at almost 35,000 square miles. Its population is almost 10 million people.
Lebanon has about only 4,000 square miles with about 6 million people in population. These countries are quite small in comparison to the other countries in this region. Israel has over 8,000 square miles and over 8 million in population. Syria, by far, has many more people and land are compared to these other countries.
