Western Australia is an official region in the continent of Australia. North of the Southern Ocean is Western Australia. Two of the other regions in Australia border Western Australia to the east of it. North of Western Australia and west of it is the Indian Ocean. Western Australia has over 2.5 million people, but almost 2.4 million of those people live in the southwestern area of the region.

Due to this area having such high temperatures, most people live in the cooler part of Western Australia. Since Western Australia has such a large shoreline to the Indian Ocean, it makes it easy to export products to different countries. These products include iron, gold, and oil. Also, Western Australia has a diamond mine where it exports many diamonds.
