The Ural mountains separate Europe from Asia. This mountain range is in Russia and Kazakhstan. It ends in western Russia, by the sea. The highest peak of the Ural mountain range is 6,217 feet tall, and belongs to Mount Narodnaya. These mountains are also rich in resources, and has actually been a large part of the Russian economy in recent years.
They have many semi-precious stones, ores, and coal. Many of the coal mines have been mined out, but these were important during the industrial revolution era and during the communist era. The Alps could also be considered a chain that separates Europe from Asia. This mountain range’s highest peak is Mont Blanc in France. It comes up through to Italy, and into Slovenia.
