The Equator.
The equator is the line that separates the globe into the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The equator is located at 0 degrees latitude. The equator is actually an imaginary line in the middle of a celestial body. Also, the Earth is widest at the equator. It is also important to know that some countries are located on the equator of the Earth. There are 13 countries in total.
These countries are Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Kenya, Somalia, Ecuador, Brazil, Sao Tome and Principe, Uganda, Indonesia, Kiribati, and the Maldives. The Northern hemisphere contains most parts of Asia, North America, Europe, the Northern part of South America, and the Northern 2/3rd of Africa. The Southern hemisphere contains 1/3rd of Africa, Australia, Antarctica, most parts of South America, and some Asian Islands.
