The surface temperature of the Sun is equivalent to 5,778 K (5,508 degrees Celsius or 9,947 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature is extremely hot if we are going to compare it to our normal body temperature which is only 37 degrees Celsius or 98.6 Fahrenheit. Although the surface temperature of the Sun is extremely high, it should be noted that the temperature of the Sun’s atmosphere is higher than what you are truly expecting.

There is no recorded evidence pointing out that there had been a manned mission going directly to the sun, because with a temperature as high as 1 million (or more) degrees Celsius, it can incinerate just about anything on its path – minerals and most importantly human beings.
