Brazil is the largest country in South America. It has over eight and a half million kilometers of land or over three million square miles. Brazil also is the country that has the most people in South America with over 207 million people. Brazil is not the largest country in the world. Russia, Canada, United States and China have more square miles than Brazil. Brazil also has bodies of water which are not included in the area of its land.
Brazil has 55,000 kilometers of water. Brazil’s land includes mountainous areas around the coastline and plains inland. Many of the people in Brazil live in or near the major cities like its capital Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro. Many jobs can be found there.
