Lake Tanganyika is a large lake located in Central Africa. It is so large that it can actually be seen from outer space. Its deep and contains freshwater. The water evaporates frequently and quickly. Six islands are located in this lake with four of them belonging to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and two of the islands belonging to Zambia. The lake’s temperature is quite warm.
Many reptiles and fish live in this lake including terrapins and cobras. There many species of snail that live in the lake as well. Since the lake is so large, about a million people live close enough to it to use it. Many people eat the fish they catch from the lake as a main source of their diet.
