Democratic Republic of the Congo, formally Zaire, got its name from the river it is located on, the Congo River. Congo is located in Africa its capital city is named Kinshasa. Even though Congo is trying to build its education by establishing higher institutions of education, there are many poor people living in poverty. In addition to being a capital city, it is also a province.
There are 25 other provinces located in the country. Due to its location of the equator being just north of the city, it has a hot wet season coupled with a hot dry season as well. Kinshasa has about 6 million people living in or around the capital city.
