Ankara has a long history where it dates back to ancient history. Settlements around this city took place in the Bronze Age. Ankara is known for its agriculture and livestock.
Selling its mohair and wool from the animals they raise helps strengthen their economy. The main landmarks that tourists see date back hundreds of years ago. These include the Ankara Citadel, Roman Theatre and Temple of Augustus and Rome. Many mosques can be see here including the Ahi Elvan Mosque and the Alaeddin Mosque.
