Barbados is a country that is also an island located in the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is Bridgetown with over one hundred thousand people living there. Since the city is located close to the ocean, much of its land could be considered shoreline. Its climate is tropical due to its location with it having two main seasons. Bridgetown has a long rainy season with hot temperatures.
Then for the shorter part of the year, it is quite dry. Even though the weather is typically hot, the wind helps make the temperature feel more pleasant. The major landmarks located in Bridgetown include historic churches, statues and fountains. Growing crops is important to Bridgetown since they sell their tropical crops to other countries.
