Cambodia is a country in Asia located in the southeastern section of the continent. Its capital is Phnom Penh. The population in Phnom Penh is the highest compared to the other cities in Cambodia. Several main rivers pass through Phnom Penh including Tonle Sap, Bassac and Mekong Rivers. Some of the plains in the city have flooded due to the wet climate.
These rivers have experienced flooding due to the monsoons that plague the city during certain periods of the year. Phnom Penh has 12 sections in which it was divided into for their local districts. Phnom Penh has about two million people living there. Over the past several years, Phnom Penh’s economy has grown stronger with retail in the garment industry taking off.
