The world’s largest lake is actually called a sea, but based on the definition of a lake, the Caspian Sea is actually a lake. Since the Caspian Sea is enclosed, it is considered a lake. Its size makes it the biggest lake in the world. The country to the south of the Caspian Sea is Iran. Iran’s capital city is Tehran. This city has over eight million people living in it. Tehran has about 22 sections which were divided many years ago.
Tehran’s climate being in the Middle East is quite hot and dry with the summers experiencing infrequent periods of precipitation. Tehran is known for poor air quality due to the excessive amount of cars polluting the air. Islam is the primary religion in Tehran. There are many religious buildings located in Tehran including the Adrian Temple and the Greek Orthodox Church of Virgin Mary.
