Stockholm is the capital of Sweden with over a million people in its population. Stockholm is actually located over fourteen islands. A popular lake known as Lake Malaren helps those in Stockholm with transportation and other recreational activities. The climate in Stockholm has warm summers and cold winters. Stockholm has a strong economy with well over half of the people working in the service industry with very few pollution.
Stockholm also has several educational institutions for higher learning including the Stockholm Observatory. Stockholm has several older structures including the Stockholm Palace that was destroyed in the late 1600s but was rebuilt a little bit later. It also has modern buildings like the Soder Torn which is almost 300 feet tall.
