Cain, adam and eves oldest son, and abel, their youngest son, each offered a gift to god. god accepted abels gift, but not cains. instead of asking god why his gift wasnt acceptable, cain took abel to the fertile soil he used to garden and murdered him. when god asked cain where his brother was, cain replied, i do not know. am i my brothers keeper? god said that as punishment for murdering his brother, cain would live as an outcast, but god put a special symbol on cain to show people not to murder him. this question has not been graded.
