So, people have enough time to evacuate the area before the disaster takes place, however, sometimes, an earthquake and volcanic eruption can happen without notice. Buildings, houses and roads can be destroyed. Usually these can cost the town lots of money to rebuild it. Sometimes, people can do things to protect themselves during a natural disaster. In an earthquake, a person can stand in the middle of a doorway for extra support. In floods, people will want to seek higher ground.
