A globe is a small replica of the earth having an equivalent shape to the earth. On a globe, you can see the continents and oceans. Usually, the globe is colored with the continents or countries colored different colors and outlined in black. The oceans are colored blue.

A globe is usually situated on a stand with a pole or rod through the center of it. This is done so that you can spin the globe around to easily find the desired location Sometimes, a globe is tilted just like the Earth is tilted on its axis. Globes are sometimes difficult to use if you are exploring the North and South Poles. Globes would be used to quickly find a place.
