The White Pass is also known as the Dead Horse Trail. This pass in located in Canada and Alaska. The White Pass goes over mountain ranges. In the 1800s, the trail was used by Indians. Then when the Klondike Gold Rush occurred, many adventurers would take the White Pass because it was a trail that didn’t have as many complications with the terrain.
However, compared to the Chilkoot Pass was safer. White Pass had dangerous thieves on the trail waiting for adventure-seekers to pass through. White Pass begins in Skagway, Alaska and stretches through Canada. Many different types of transportation can be seen at some point on the White Pass including a highway and a railway. The White Pass has become an important landmark for both the United States and Canada.
