Urbanization is the move of people from the countryside to the city. If you looked at a population map, you would see most of the area’s population lives in the center of the city with the rural areas being sparsely populated. The main reason for moving to the city is due to jobs.
Many jobs are found in the city whereas the countryside is limited with job opportunities. Sometimes, people will have jobs in the country, but they are not making enough money. Another reason why people move to the city is to bring culture into their lives. Museums, sports events and libraries are found in cities and they would be fairly nearby. Educational opportunities can usually be found in cities compared to the countryside.
