Known as El Nino, this weather pattern includes a warming trend. It is truly a phenomenon. El Nino has to do with the ocean and its currents. The current from the colder water moves or is drawn to the front in order to cool the warmer water. Weather seems to be affected during the period of time with El Nino.
The winters are worse with them being much colder and the summers are much hotter and sometimes wetter with more rain. El Nino does affect global warming. There are actually three different steps in the entire ENSO which are the neutral phase, El Nino and La Nino. El Nino and La Nino are opposites with one being a warming trend and the other is a cooling trend.
