People use the term “region” in many different ways. The definitions are similar, but they have slightly different meanings. By definition, regions are large parts of land where there are similarities or the people have the same culture, language or other aspects. The people in an area of land seem to share or have something in common with each other.
When people enter a new region, they may seem something different than what they are used to. Countries may have regions. For example, the southern region of the United States share commonalities with food. Usually, southerners eat fried food. Africa is several regions within that continent. They are Northern Africa, Western Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa and the Horn of Africa.
