The country that Alaska borders is Canada. Although Alaska is part of the United States of America, it is closely connected to Canada. Alaska has an area of 1,717,856 square kilometers and a total population of more than 700 thousand people while Canada has a total area of 9,984,670 square kilometers and a total population of more than 35 million people.
There are ten provinces in Canada namely: Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the two provinces which border Alaska are Yukon and British Columbia. Canada is a rich country and is the tenth-largest economy in the world with a nominal GDP of more or less than 1.52 trillion US dollars. Its five largest metropolitan areas in terms of population are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa-Gatineau.
