Africa is divided into five parts namely Northern Africa, Western Africa, Central Africa, Eastern Africa and Southern Africa. There are seven countries in North Africa, while there are nine, five, nineteen and seventeen in Central Africa, Southern Africa, Eastern Africa and Western Africa respectively. Here are the seven countries found in North Africa: Algeria which is the largest country in Africa and has an area of 2,381,741 square kilometers, more than half of which is covered in desert.
Egypt which covers an area of 1,010,000 square kilometers and has a population of more than 86 million people, Libya which covers more or less 1.8 million square kilometers and has the largest oil reserves in Africa, Morocco which covers an area of 446,550 square kilometers and has a population of more than 33 million people, Sudan which covers 1,886,068 square kilometers and has a population of more than 48 million people, Tunisia which has an area of 163,610 square kilometers and has a population of more than 10 million people and Western Sahara which covers around 266,000 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 500,000 people.
