There are seven continents in the whole world. These continents are as follows according to their area: Asia with 44,391,162 square kilometers, Africa with 30,224,049 square kilometers, North America with 24,247,039 square kilometers, South America with 17,821,029 square kilometers, Antarctica with 14,245,000 square kilometers,

Europe with 10,345,636 square kilometers and Australia with 7,686,884 square kilometers. With regard to population, the ranking differs slightly except for Asia with a population of more than 4 billion people and Africa with a population of more than 1 billion people. It is followed by Europe with a population of more than 700 million, North America with a population of more than 500 million people, South America with more than 400 million people, Australia with more than 23 million people and Antarctica with no recorded permanent residents.
