In the wild, a cat can live four to five years. Not very long for a sweet animal, but there it is. In captivity or as a pet, if they’re treated right, they can live as long as or outlive their wild counterparts. This has to do with how they’re fed, how they live, etc. If conditions are right, a cat can live a full and healthy live in the wild and in the house.
That’s how it goes for any species of animal, no matter what the span in the wild. A good house will keep the cat well-fed, healthy, and get them regularly checked up. This doesn’t happen in every house, but the more often the cat is checked up, the better their health will be. Like with a human’s health.
