There are three species of zebra. They are the Grevy’s Zebra, the Plains Zebra, and the Mountain Zebra. They live in different areas of the world. The Grevy’s Zebra prefers to live in Ethiopia and Kenya, though this is where they have been limited to due to human activities. They are extremely endangered and on the brink of extinction. The Plains Zebra is more common in southern Ethiopia and as far down as Southern Africa.
They’re aren’t as threatened as the Grevy’s Zebra, but they are listed as “near threatened”, meaning they could be in trouble soon. The Mountain Zebra prefers the areas of Angola, South Africa, and Namibia. These zebras are in danger, but are not as threatened as the Grevy’s Zebra either.
