An adult cat can weigh between 7.9 pounds and 9.9 pounds. Any more than that and the cat has a little extra fat, but there’s nothing wrong with having a pound more or so. A pound won’t kill any cat. However, there are a lot of factors in how much an adult cat can weigh. One is what kind of cat it is. A Siamese cat, for instance, can weigh as little as five pounds and still be healthy.
On the other hand, one of the largest house cats can weigh 25 pounds - and still be healthy. This is the Maine Coon. What kind of food the cat is being fed is another factor, but one that plays less so into the weight as how much fat they have versus how much is muscle.
