Out of all the conditions listed, lung cancer is the one that is created from cigarette smoking. Scientists and researchers who study lung cancer attribute 90% of lung cancer cases to those who smoke cigarettes.

This cancer is at the top of the cancers worldwide that cause death. There are many symptoms of lung cancer that can affect a patient, including pain in the chest, coughing, losing weight, and pain in the bones.

When a person is diagnosed with lung cancer, there are many things they can do to treat. One of those is to stop smoking. Another form of treatment is chemotherapy, which can kill the cancer cells present in the body.

Lung cancer is the correct answer. Smoking is one of the primary causes of Lung cancer. Lung disease caused by smoking includes COPD, which consists of chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Option A is wrong. Influenza is known as the Flu that affects the respiratory system, which is the nose, throat, and lungs. This virus originated among birds and other animals, such as pigs.
Option B is also incorrect. Legionnaire’s disease is a form of pneumonia. It is a lung inflammation caused

by infection. People get legionnaire’s disease by inhaling the bacteria from water or soil.
Pleurisy is a condition in which pleura, which is the two large thin layers of tissue that separate your lungs from your chest wall, becomes inflamed.

The correct answer to this question isLung Cancer. Cigarette smoking is known to be the primary cause of lung cancer. The statistics are amazing. Studies shows that about 80 to 90% of lung cancers are caused by smoking. Cigarette smoke is known to contain high levels of carcinogens. Carcinogens are substances that can cause cancer. These carcinogens start destroying the lung tissues.

At the early stages, the body is able to repair damages caused by cigarette smoke but as time goes on, long term cigarette smoking permanently damages lung tissues. The risk of lung cancer increases with how long a person has been smoking. The longer the history of smoking, the higher the risk. Influenza is caused by viral infection, not cigarette smoking. Legionnaire s disease is a form of severe pneumonia caused by legionella which is a bacterium. Pleurisy is simply the inflammation of the lung pleura. Therefore, options A, B, and D are incorrect.

Lung cancer. Along with COPD, lung cancer is one of the main health risks from smoking, and smoking is the #1 cause of lung cancer. As many as 90% of lung cancer cases are associated with smoking. Roughly 10% of lifelong smokers will develop lung cancer in their lives, and these cases often prove fatal. Influenza is caused by a virus, not by smoking, but smokers do suffer from more severe flu symptoms than non-smokers.

Legionnaire’s disease is a bacterial infection, and it’s also exacerbated (but not caused) by smoking. Pleurisy is an inflammation of the lung lining, which can be caused by a variety of bacterial or viral infections, as well as by chest wounds. Again, smoking is not the major cause.
