Father of Nation ia a title given to an individual considered to be a driving force behind the establishment of his country. Many dictators are known to bestow the title on themselves. Mahatma Gandhiji is one of the most popularly known “Father of the Nation” most especially in India.
He was first addressed as father of nation by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the 6th of July, 1944 in his address on a Singapore Radio as a condolence message to Mahatma on the demise of Kasturba.
