Disinterested means that the people are impartial or they do not care too much about what is happening. Uninterested means that they have no interest in what is being given for sure. A lot of people misuse disinterested with uninterested.
For example, they may say that someone is disinterested in the items that are being offered but actually, they mean that the people are uninterested. It should be remembered that disinterest means “not caring too much” usually about what other people think. To become a judge, you should not care about what the other judges think is good or bad.
