The Solar System is a system that is gravitationally bound. It features the Sun and all objects that orbit around it. The most known objects that orbit the Sun and are a part of the Solar System are the eight planets. Those planets are Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn. There used to be nine planets, with the ninth being Pluto.
Due to its small size, it was turned into a dwarf planet in 2008. Eris, Ceres, Haumea, and Makemake are four other dwarf planets. The Solar System has been around for a long time, approximately 4.571 billion years. Along with these planets, the Solar System consists of comets, moons, and stars. When we look up in the sky, we see this system.
