How has Uber impacted the cab industry?

Uber is an American multinational riding company which has been deployed in over 450 cities in the world. Uber was founded January 3, 2009.

As at 2019 Uber’s worth is $14.15 billion USD. Uber’s impact in the cab industry is both positive and negative.

It is positive in the sense that it has boost the American economy in 2016. It made over 62 million trips worldwide and also make people feel safe while riding.

However, the negative impact is that the Uber drivers are taking income from licensed drivers and are trying to make the cab industry a monopoly industry where they are the only company in charge of cab industry. Uber is not just a riding company; it also delivers food to people.

People used to make a lot of adjustments so that they can get a cab especially when they are rushing. Uber changed this greatly. Right now, people can start looking for cabs in the comfort of their own homes or when they are still at their respective venues. They just need to go out when they know that their Uber driver is there.

Through Uber, there are now more options that are available for people so that they can get rides to various places. People who would like to get money but would still want to be comfortable can use Uber Pool. There are also some premium cars that are available for those who would like to travel in style. They definitely changed the way that people can find the transportation that they need at the right place and time.
