Bismuth (Bi) is a metallic element. Bi is a poor metal it is similar to the arsenic and antimony. It is the last element in the group which makes it the most metallic; it has the lowest electronegativity and ionization.
They all follow the same periodic trends, the electronegativity decreases down the group, their ionization energy decreases down the group, the atomic radi increases in size down the group and the melting point, boiling point and metallic point increases down the group.
From left to right across the period, metallic character decreases. But it increases going down a group (last element in a group will have the most metallic character). Bi is the last element in group 15 so it is the most metallic.
