An object should possess all the characteristics of living things which are the ability of Excretion, Growth, Movement, Nutrition, Reproduction, Respiration, and Sensitivity. Living things absorb and use energy for them to develop and grow.
All things that have life need food and also made up of complex cells to move and have the ability to reproduce offspring in preserving their race. Living things also respond to their environment just like the animals and plants where they have learned to adapt in their given environment for them to live for a long time. Unlike non-living things, they do not interact and live harmoniously with the location they are placed at.
