Number of fractionalized articles authored by the institution divided by the number of fractionalized articles authored by the institution\ s largest competitor institution (within 5-year window)-ras is defined as the number of publications authored by an institution, divided by the number of publications authored by the institutions largest competitor within a particular dc, during the 5-year publication window. this calculation is performed using summed fractional counts, and is done for each article cluster, competency, and distinctive competency. if an institution is ranked #1, its relative article share will be greater than 1.0; if an institution is not ranked #1, its relative article share will be less than 1.0.
