Steve, you’re giving me some good information, but i think i’ll need to hear a bit more about your thoughts. in the next task, don’t describe your reactions to the program so much, but instead, tell me what you are thinking as you make choices.-a : come on now! You know that would be rude. after hearing that, steve isnt likely to feel like helping you with this evaluation.b : this is a good response. you have let steve know that he is helping you, but you also want to encourage him to be more specific about why he is making the choices he is making. this feedback should help.c : your feedback to steve is a bit rude. after hearing that, steve may not help you with this evaluation any more. you are on the right track in terms of getting him to talk about why he is making the choices he is making. but you need to say if in a much more positive and encouraging manner.d : oh no! I think you are making a mistake. although it is true that steves initial try at thinking aloud was not very useful, he can learn to do it better if you coach him in a more positive and encouraging manner.
