Erosion is the weathering away of the soil based on one of several reasons. Erosion can occur on farmland. Many farmers can’t live in one area for a long time. When they use the soil to grow crops, the nutrients are used from the soil to make the crops grow.
Nutrients can be put back into the soil to an extent, but over time it will lose all of nutrients and the soil has been eroded. Other types of erosion are when the ground is blown away by wind. Wind erosion is common in windy and dusty areas where the soil can be easily blown away. The main definition of erosion is the process by which weathered rock and mineral particles are removed from one area and transported elsewhere.
