Smooth endoplasmic reticulum.
The Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) does not contain protein. This is where steroid hormones are produced.
Ribosomes is a part of the cell where mRNA is processed to form protein.

Ribosomal RNA are made from proteins in the nucleolus. The nucleolus is located in the nucleus of the cell.
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum (RER) have ribosomes on them and that's why RER look rough. Proteins are made here too.

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum

Nucleolus is found in the nucleus and makes the ribosome organelle. The rough Endoplasmic reticulum looks rough because it have ribosomes (remember: ribosomes make proteins) on their surface. Thus, they modify ribosomes.
