Even though animal and plant cells are both eukaryotic cells (having a nucleus, mitochondria, lysosomes, etc.), they are different in so many ways. Plant cells have cell wall that protects the organelles inside while animal cells do not have. Though they both have mitochondria, plant cells get their energy from photosynthesis while animal cells get their energy from food.
Cell wall is also present in plant cells for the protection of the organelles. The cell wall also serves as a rigid protection and make the cells of the plant more stable. Animal cells can be smaller than plant cells as they range only from 10-30 mm while plant cells can stretch up to 100 mm.
