The national response center. The number to this center is 1-800-424-8802. Though the response is in their name, they are not a response agency. Instead, their purpose is to be a call center for emergencies. The national response center should be called to report spills, as well as maritime security incidents and chemical releases.
The response center also has a website with spreadsheets. Every year has a spreadsheet with listed incidents. The center has been around since 1974 and was developed by the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan. It is open 24 hours a day.
