True-true, barely. when we talk about burning fat, we have to be talking about cardio exercise because strength training does not use fat as a fuel source (it uses carbohydrates). doing cardio on an empty stomach can burn more fat. however, the extra isnt much. you wont burn any more calories. and not eating will force you to exercise at a lower intensity and/or stop your workout early (which will cause you to burn fewer calories - that is, burn less fat!).you will also break down more muscle (protein) to generate fuel, which will decrease your resting metabolic rate. instead, eat a little something - a banana, granola bar or some bread. youll elevate your metabolism, stay fueled during your training session and have the energy to get through it.for fat loss, look at the whole days calorie balance, not just what you burn during exercise.
