Flocculonodular lobe of the cerebellum functions to maintain balance and muscle tone, it uses information about head movement to influence eye movement. Damage to the flocculonodular lobe shows up as loss of equilibrium, lesions in this area can also result in deficits in visual tracking and oculomotor control. It is classified as an altered, irregular walking gait with a wide stance caused by difficulty in balancing.

The dentate nucleus is a collection of neurons. It is the largest single structure connecting the cerebellum to the remaining part of the brain. It is involved in voluntary motor function and cognition.

Interposed nucleus is coordinate agonist and antagonist muscle pair and damage to this nucleus will result in tremor.
